A fun read, a tool for life, a hidden object game and a coloring book - All in one book!
I enjoyed this short book. After I read it, I kept thinking that adults can even learn from it. I got a kick out of the clever and brightly colored illustrations that not only caught my eye but are good for small children as they will catch their attention and imagination. At the end, there are a few sketches from the book that can be downloaded and printed for coloring with crayons or pencils. I like that it encourages creativity and when done with a parent or a sibling, it has the potential to foster bonding.
wow! what a wonderful book, this book really helps to embed a strong positive outlook on life and it really made me reflect and made me focus on all the positives throughout our day, a really pleasant read as you are taken through on a wave of clever rhyme. recommended for all children!
For every parent to a kid who is a little bit different or actually any parent at all...Short or Tall is a must read book. My girl (3yo) loves it and the colourful illustrations, and she even enjoys explaining now why you shouldn't mock other kids.
My daughter is 3 years old, and still has a very difficult time falling asleep. I read this book to her and I could see how interested she was in everything that the main character Mia does and her father's advice. She listens so closely and I think she really relates with Mia. I also noticed that she found a new technique to relax herself at bedtime. She breathes out all the bad thoughts just like Mia does and I think it helps her fall asleep. She keeps asking me to read it to her at bedtime and I absolutely love it. Thank you Asaf Rozanes for writing this book and for tackling kid's anxiety in a beautiful way which grasps even a 3 year old's attention. This is a must book for anyone who has kids that worry and teaches them (and also us) how to live now and enjoy every minute.
What a lovely little book this is. The author has a fantastic way of putting over to the reader/child that not everyone is the same in this world/country/school. It is very well written in rhyme which children like to be read to in this manner. A great teaching book without even knowing you are teaching your child. I love the fact it is dad and daughter as well. At the end is a lovely little game. The illustrations are brilliant. A definite 5 star read.
This is the second book I have read by this author and he did not disappoint. I lovely story about the same little girl Mia again in rhyme. This books teaches that it doesn't matter if there is something different about another child. He has a very clever way of writing these stories without the child realising that there is a meaning behind them and is teaching them to be kind. Again the illustrations are very colourful and fab. Not to forget the little game at the end of the book. A fabulous 5* read
